Glimpses of Rajasthan


Day 1: Delhi

Upon arrival at New Delhi international airport, transfer and check in at hotel.

Overnight at Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi:

After breakfast move out for a daylong sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad) & New Delhi, which includes the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk (here take a rickshaw ride) & Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb and QutubMinar among other attractions.

After lunch drive past impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence and others in Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi). Later we would take you the modern area of Delhi Connaught Palace. Remaining day would be at leisure.

Overnight at Delhi.

Day 3: Mandawa:

After breakfast check-out from your hotel and drive to Shekhawati town Mukundgarh in Rajasthan. On arrival at Mandawa, check-in at beautiful heritage haveli hotel.

During the day enjoy sightseeing tour nearby towns of Mandawa to see some of the best beautiful Frescoed Havelies of the region. Evening at leisure.

Overnight in Mandawa.

Day 4: Bikaner:

Breakfast at your hotel. Check out hotel to visit Fatehpur and drive to camel city “Bikaner” on arrival check-in at your hotel. After brief leisure visit the Junagarh Fort & other attractions in the guided sightseeing tour. Also, visit the unique camel breeding farm. Evening is at leisure.

Overnight in Bikaner.

Day 5: Bikaner - Jaisalmer:

Breakfast drive through the Thar Desert and finally reach the Golden City – Jaisalmer, on arrival, check-in at your Desert Swiss Tent.

After some rest leave for camel ride on Sand Dunes with camel man for the sunset views of the desert, return back to the camp to enjoy warmth of bonfire and Rajasthani hospitality with snacks and Folk dances of Kalbelias, Gala Dinner is followed in Dining area.

Stay night in Desert tented Accommodation.

Day 6: Jaisalmer [Desert Camp & Evening Cultural program]:

Morning in front of Dunes with Tea and breakfast. Later check-out from camp and drive to Jaisalmer city. On arrival, check in at your hotel. After a refreshment break, proceed to enjoy guided sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer Fort and various other attractions of this fairy tale city like Gadisar Lake, Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Nathmal Haveli and others tourist attractions.

Evening is free to take walking tour in the still inhabited fort of Jaisalmer abuzz with a distinct and vibrant lifestyle.

Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 7: Jodhpur:

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to the “Sun City”, Jodhpur while visiting Osian, Mandore & Balsamand Lake.

Upon arrival at Jodhpur, check in at your hotel. Evening is free at your own discretion. You may visit old markets around Clock Tower – an enigma spelled surrounding.

Overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 8: Jodhpur:

After breakfast and a brief leisure visit the majestic Mehrangarh fort, JaswantThada, UmaidBhavan Palace of the Sun City. Later during the day time proceed to visit Bishoni Village to explore the village. Here visit village hut and learn to local people live.

[BishonivillageThe place is surrounded by ‘Bishnoi villages’ and during your stay here, you can take a horse ride [optional] these bishnoi villages. Bishnoi people are staunch conservationists who still follow 26 clans & principles and here in their houses, you may still see the blackbucks (a member of deer family) roaming freely, so much so that sometimes you may see them sharing the meals together, from a single plate.]

After visit back to your hotel. Rest of the time is free or you make a take a walking tour in the old city assisted by a local guide.

Overnight in Jodhpur.

[Jodhpur Famous Dishes: MirchiBada, Pyaz Ki Kachori, Sweet Lassi of Jodhpur, is very famous as the water in that region lends it a unique taste. In veg. curry GulabJamun Ki Sabji&Haldi Ki Sabji is one the famous in this area].

Day 9: Udaipur:

Morning transfer to Udaipur – arguably the most Romantic City of India, also known as the Lake City. On route, you may visit Ranakpur, and Kumbhalgarh Fort.

[Ranakpur is famous for the huge 15th century Adinatha Temple. It is the largest and most complex Jain Temple in India, with 29 halls covering 4,320 square yards and 420 ornately carved pillars to hold up its domes.

Kumbhalgarh Fort: Encircled by thirteen elevated mountain peaks, the fort is constructed on the top most ridges around 1,914 meters above sea level. The fortifications of the fort extend to the length of 36 kilometers and this fact has made this fort to be in the international records. It is stated to be the second longest wall in the world, the first being ''the Great Wall of China''. The huge complex of the Fort has numerous palaces, temples and gardens making it more magnificent. You will be amazed to see the beauty and serenity of the place.

Upon arrival at Udaipur, check-in at the hotel.

Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 10: Udaipur:

Morning enjoy boat ride on Lake, later take sightseeing tour of city’s main attractions like ‘City Palace Complex’, ‘Saheliyon Ki Bari’, BharatiyaLok Kala Mandal Museum etc. Also, visit the Jagdish temple and walk through the interesting labyrinths around it.

Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 11: Pushkar [Via Chitorgarh]:

Morning breakfast in hotel and drive to the next destination “Pushkar” visit Chittorgarh Fort on the way. “Chittorgarh the pride and glory of Rajasthan,Chittaur echoes with the tales of romance and vlour unique to the Rajput tradition. A ruined citadel, where the royal past lives in its imposing forts, graceful palaces and spectacular chattris.

This fortified settlement has been ravaged thrice and each time the outcome was ‘Jauhar’-when women and children immolated themselves on a huge funeral pyre while men donned in saffron robes of martyrdom rode out of the fort towards a certain death”.

After visit proceed to the holiest city of Rajasthan – Pushkar, located in the Aravalli valley, in central Rajasthan 11 KMS north-west of Ajmer, check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day is kept at leisure.

Evening take a pleasant walk on the street around the sacred sarovar [Lake], surrounded by 52 Ghats and the famous Brahma Temple.

Overnight in Pushkar.

Day 12: Jaipur

Morning breakfast at your hotel and drive to Pinkcity “Jaipur”, On arrival at Jaipur, check-in at your hotel.

Early evening the experience the Indian culture, we will take your ‘Govind Dev Ji’ temple which is the most revered temple of Jaipur city and where each prayer is a spiritually moving experience, you may walk through many interesting lanes of Jaipur, which are full of shops of artisans, temples and traditional houses.

Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 13: Jaipur:

After breakfast proceed for a daylong sightseeing trip you will visit the majestic hill top fort of Amber housing the beautiful mirror palace and elaborate Ganesh Pole.

After Amber, visit City Palace and its vast treasure of rare manuscripts, paintings and other collections. Other attractions around the palace equally noticeable for unique architecture are Hawa Mahal, JantarMantar observatory

Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 14: Agra:

Early morning Check-out from your hotel and you will be transferred to Agra in your exclusive vehicle.

En-route visit FatehpurSikri, Palace of Jodh Bai built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. The FatehpurSikri complex houses tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other palaces, which surprisingly have withstood the ravages of time and are still in good condition.

After visit driver further to reach Agra on arrival check in at your hotel. Later visit Agra Fort [if time allows]

Early evening if interested you will be taken to see the back side of Taj Mahal at the sunset. The rare sight of Taj from the fields with the river in the front is simply magical.

Day 15: Agra - Delhi:

Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal during sunrise simply magical, built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 years to complete this 'Love Poem in Marble'.] Enjoy the horse carriage rides one way toward Taj.

After visit back to your hotel for breakfast.

During the day visit Agra fort shah burj containing the halls of private & public audiences & other palaces. Shah Jahan spent here years of confinement at the hands of his son Aurangzeb, looking wistfully at the Taj Mahal from the Fort and also visit the local attraction of Agra i.e. Tomb of Itimad – Ud – Daulah. Later visit the local market of Agra.

After sightseeing tour drive to Delhi, You may visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to attend the evening ceremony or enjoy last minute shopping at the local market places of Delhi to buy souvenirs for your family and friends. You may Also have a walking tour of Connaught Place and dinner at local restaurant you will have transfer back to your hotel.

At appropriate time transfer to Delhi airport and flight back home...
